What grants can a charity or community group get?

A charity is not in the same queue as a shop. National Lottery Awards for All, in England, is £300 to £20,000 for a community project, not profit for a private firm. Many trust funds never appear on GOV.UK Find a Grant. Find Grants is mostly the business, household and government competitions it can read. It is not a directory of every charitable trust.

Can a social enterprise apply to Awards for All?

Some can, if the project builds relationships in a community rather than profit. The National Lottery Community Fund publishes the current rules. Read those, not this summary.

Should a charity use a business grant finder?

Use it for government and lottery rounds that name charities. For trusts, use a specialist database and the funder's own site. A match on either is not an award.
