Do grant brokers take a percentage of the grant?

Some do. A success fee is often between 10% and 20% of the money awarded, payable when you win. Every Grant takes none of the grant. A broker who uses Every Grant can keep 20% of the writing fee, not 20% of the award. The client's price does not go up to fund that.

Should I avoid every success fee?

Not always. A specialist who only gets paid if a hard competition is won is making a different offer. Ask whether you also pay a retainer, who files the form, and what happens if you withdraw.

What should I ask before I sign?

The fee in pounds, when it is due, whether it is owed if you lose, and whether they submit the form in your name. Get that in writing.
