How much does a grant writer cost in the UK?
There is no set market rate. Some writers charge a day rate, some a monthly subscription, and some a percentage of the award if you win. Every Grant does not charge to look. If you want the application written, the fee is fixed from the award size before you pay: £450 up to £10,000, £850 up to £50,000, £1,450 up to £250,000, and £2,200 above that. Nothing is added as a cut of the grant.

What does the fee buy?
A written outline of the application, based on what you tell us about the project. You still review it and you still file it on the funder's site. Every Grant does not submit it.
Is a percentage cheaper?
Only if you lose. A 20% success fee on a £50,000 grant is £10,000, and you owe it when you can least afford to share the money. A fixed fee is knowable even if you do not win. If you do not want the writing, you pay neither.
