Should I use Find Grants or just apply myself?

Apply yourself if you can answer the funder's questions in their words and you have the time. The official form is free. Find Grants is useful before that, to see which schemes are even in range, and afterwards only if you want a draft. Paying for a draft does not raise your odds by a published amount. We do not claim a win rate.

When is a draft worth it?

When the funder wants a tight project description and you do not want to start from a blank page. You still have to check the facts. You still file it.

When is it a waste?

When the scheme is a simple voucher with a short form, or when the round is already closed. Do not pay for a draft of a closed fund.

If you want the application written, the fee is fixed and shown before you pay: £450, £850, £1,450 or £2,200, set by the size of the award. Find Grants does not take a percentage of the grant, does not file the form, and is not part of GOV.UK. Confirm every scheme on the funder's own site.
