Are business grants different in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

Yes. A scheme for England stops at the border unless it says it is UK-wide. Scottish Enterprise, Business Wales and Invest Northern Ireland publish their own support, and it changes. A postcode in Edinburgh is not in range for an England-only fund, even if the trade is the same.

Where should I start?

The postcode. Find Grants separates UK-wide schemes from nation schemes. Then open the devolved agency's own site, because local products are not all copied into this catalogue.

Is Find a Grant enough outside England?

It lists many UK and devolved competitions. It does not replace Scottish Enterprise, Business Wales or Invest NI. Use both.
