Is there a grant for a shopfront?

Sometimes, and only from the council or the combined authority for that street. There is no UK-wide shopfront grant. A high-street scheme in Leicester, for example, does not cover a shop in another city. Ask the council for the address, and treat a closed round as closed.

Does a new shop count?

Only if that local scheme says so. Many want an existing unit, a quote, and works that have not already been ordered.
