What grants can a UK limited company get?
A limited company is not entitled to a grant because it is limited. The same tests apply as for any business: place, trade, size, and whether the round is open. Some competitions require a company. Some council funds accept a sole trader. Read the brief. Do not incorporate only to chase a scheme that has not asked for it.

Does Find Grants need a company number?
No. The check starts from a postcode or a place. A company number does not change which layers of geography you sit in.
Are dormant companies eligible?
Rarely. Schemes that want a trading business will say so. A dormant company with no activity is not a project.
