What research and innovation grants are open in the UK?
Research and innovation funding for a UK business usually means an Innovate UK competition, a UKRI scheme, or a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with a university or research organisation. These are not local council grants. The brief sets who can lead. Some rounds want the business in the lead. Some want the academic. Every Grant keeps the ones it can read from Find a Grant and the Innovation Funding Service, and each row links to the funder.

Is a research grant the same as R&D tax relief?
No. A grant is money you apply for before or during the work. R&D tax relief is claimed through the company tax return for qualifying work you already paid for. GrantTree and similar firms work on the tax side. That is a different product.
How current is the list?
The catalogue is refreshed from Find a Grant and the Innovation Funding Service. A competition can open or close between reads. The funder page wins.
